Beef With Ginger
Beef is marinated with ginger juice and deep-fried in this recipe.
1 pound sirloin tip or round steak
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
2 teaspoons ginger juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon chile paste with garlic
1 egg white
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 cups oil for deep-frying, or as needed
Partially freeze beef so that it will be easier to cut.
Cut the beef into thin strips about 2 1/2-inches long.
Combine marinade ingredients. Add the beef, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Heat oil in wok to 360 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the beef and deep-fry until cooked. Drain on paper towels.
